FEAR NOT THEIR FEAR.

ISAIAH 8 :11-13; 21-22.

11. With his great power the LORD warned me not to follow the path which the people were following. He said,
12. ” Do not join in the schemes of the people and do not be afraid of the things that they fear.
13. Remember that I, the LORD Almighty, am holy; I am the one you must fear.
14. The people will wander through the land, discouraged and hungry. In their hunger and their anger they will curse their king and their God. They may look up to the sky.
15. or stare at the ground, but they will see nothing but trouble and darkness, terrifying darkness into which they are being driven..

HEBREWS 13 : 6
Let us be bold, then, and say: ” The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me ?”.

ISAIAH 43 :1-2

1. Israel, the LORD who created you says, ” Do not be afraid — I will save you. I have called you by name — you are mine.
2. When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burnt; the hard trials that come will not hurt you.

PSALM 115 : 11
Trust in the LORD, all you that worship him. He helps you and protect you.
(GOOD NEWS BIBLE).

The year has been a catalogue of pain and sorrow as every form of violence and repression has been visited on the landscape and the people. The people are terrified as the government becomes ineffective in taming the horrific deeds of vicious terrorists. The Land travails in the suffocating grip of insecurity. Many people are at crossroads, confused about what to do. Some people have resigned to ‘fate’, waiting for the worst to happen. Another group of people have gone ahead to join the terrorists, for ‘security’. Some people have formed themselves into ‘liberty camps’, seeking emancipation for the oppressed. Then, the bands of ‘prayer warriors’, pleading for Divine interventions as solutions to the situations. The government plays the ‘ostrich’, rejecting the notion of being overwhelmed.
Fear pervades the atmosphere; peace eludes the Land. There is no hope of the situation becoming better for the rest of the year.
But, the Lord has warned me “not to follow the path which the people were following”. The Lord has told me to warn you “not to follow the path which the people were following”. The Lord has told me “not to fear their fear”. The Lord has sent me to you “not to fear their fear”. The Lord has assured me that we should trust Him to protect and deliver us from the chaotic and heartbreaking scenarios unfolding before our eyes, for even the ‘prayer warriors’ are not in one accord; are not united in supplications and intercession as to move God’s hands !
The journey to safety; to land of mercy is individualistic. God enjoins us to have total faith in Him and to trust our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, as Captain of our warfare to give us victory and peace that the world cannot experience.
If you have not given your life to Jesus Christ for safe-keeping; if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour; if you are still rejecting the Holy Spirit as an interceding Spirit of God; then there is an urgent need to make amends now for tomorrow may be too late. Life without Jesus Christ is synonymous with crises.
With God on our side, we need not fear their fear anymore.
May the remaining months of the year bring you fulfilment, in the precious name of Jesus Christ.

REJOICE 

NEHEMIAH 8 : 10
Now go home and have a feast. Share your food and wine with those who haven’t enough. Today is holy to our Lord, so don’t be sad. The joy that the LORD gives you will make you strong.

PHILIPPIANS 4 : 4 – 7

4. May you always be joyful in your union with the Lord. I say it again: rejoice !
5. Show a gentle attitude towards everyone. The Lord is coming soon.
6. Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart.
7. And God’s peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.

PHILIPPIANS 3 : 1
In conclusion, my brothers and sisters, be joyful in your union with the Lord.
(GOOD NEWS BIBLE).

This world is not our home. We are travellers sent here for a purpose and the purpose is to do the will of God.
The hope of the children of God is to return to God accomplished, having done His will on earth.
We were not brought here to inherit corruption but sanctification leading to enduring inheritance in heaven.
It is most important to live our lives on earth always with eternity in view. It is difficult to live on earth as God’s children until we have the joyful understanding that our treasure, our inheritance, in the hereafter is far better than what is obtainable here.
It is most unfortunate that the present day preachers have given God’s people misplaced priorities. The emphasis is no more on heavenly treasure but worldly glitters. The equipment for sojourning fulfillingly on earth is no more the Holy Spirit but human mentorship. Jesus Christ is no more the focus but the ‘founders’ and their false teachings and fake lives. The minds of God’s people have been turned into seeing ‘ earthly glitters’ as the hope and purpose of Christianity. The Church holds vigils, indulges in fasts and build cathedrals for the purpose of reaping rewards on earth where the hope is now focused. This is most disheartening. The Church that Jesus Christ gave his disciples to set free the captives is under siege and on the verge of capitulation because of avarice; because of lack of knowledge. The Church has been compromised. The Church is, indeed, in need of deliverance.
Whether rich or poor, hale or sick, happy or sad, what God expects from His children is to be thankful and joyful for the joy of salvation is above every other considerations. We must learn to rejoice in the Lord always. We must always bear in mind that we are pilgrims on earth. We came with nothing. We will go home with nothing. It is safer to transfer our treasure home to await our homecoming while keeping with us what is necessary for our passage.
Rejoice in the Lord always. Submit totally to the Lordship of Jesus Christ Permit the Holy Spirit to function effectively in your life. Without the joy of salvation leading you on, it is difficult to really appreciate God in this chaotic world.
May the joy of the Lord never depart from our lives, in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

THE CASSAVA PLANT.

JOHN 15 : 4.
Remain united to me, and I will remain united to you. A branch cannot bear fruits of itself; it can do so only if it remains in the vine. In the same way you cannot bear fruit unless you remain in me.

JOHN 16 : 15.
All that my Father has is mine; that is why I said that the Spirit will take what I give him and tell it to you.
( GOOD NEWS BIBLE).

The moon was shinning brightly. There had earlier been a windy rainfall but now everywhere is quiet; the atmosphere, serene. I sat in the backyard of my abode, meditating.
Then,. I heard the voice: “My Servant, have you considered the Cassava plant ? Have you meditated on the Power that makes a stem bring forth tubers ? Have you thought of the miracle that manifests whenever the stem of Cassava, planted in fertile soil, develop into tubers underground and wears green foliage like a crown overground ? The stem conducts water, minerals and food to other parts of the plant for the needed nourishment in order that the tubers would manifest. It is pertinent for Man to become the ‘stem’ so as to be Divinely engaged in productive activities. Nevertheless, unless the stem is connected to the fertile soil, no positive result can be obtained; an exercise in futility. If the stem is insured in the fertile soil, then, the cassava bring forth tubers which are harvested at the appropriate time and become nourishment for Man and his livestock.
I made all things and I am from everlasting to everlasting. I am the Supreme. I am the fertile soil. You are the cassava stem. Though, you be cut off and abandoned, plant yourself into me and you will produce abundance: you will become the reference point for provisions; for nourishment. You will bring forth in miraculous manner because you are planted in Me.”
Beloved, the lesson God wanted me to understand is that I must be hidden in Him to be productive. God wants you to understand that He has the authority to change your situation from gloom to boom; from rejection to election: and from humiliation to celebrations. All God is asking us to do is to remain in Him by making the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, Lord, in recognition of His great work of Salvation. God has committed all powers on earth and in heaven into the hands of Jesus Christ, who will judge the deeds of Man on the day of reckoning; the day of Judgement.
If you have not accepted the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the Redeemer, then you need to do so now because therein lies prosperity and peace.
If you are already ” born again “, then you must hold the faith firmly because satan lurks waiting for unguarded moments of the believer in order to “maim, kill, and destroy”.
We must never fall from grace. God is able to sustain us in abundance; God is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient. God is faithful. We must trust Him to replace our tears of sorrow with overflowing joy. We must cleave to Jesus Christ.
The cassava stem, united with the fertile soil brings forth tubers. Man nourishes self and assets from the tubers. In like manner, let us become one with God, for in so doing, the gates of hell cannot stop our celebrations.
Christians must not seek repose yet concerning the Great Commission ( Evangelism) commanded by the Righteous Judge, Jesus Christ. Millions of people are still under satanic bondage and must be redeemed.
When cassava stem is not planted, it dries up and has no tubers to prove fulfilment: in the same manner, man, that disconnects from the fertile soil, brings lack and shame upon himself, dries up . I’m Only Jesus Christ, the fertile Soil, can give true prosperity.
Endtimes’ scenario is unfolding rapidly and it is crystal clear that we are not paying adequate attention to the sordid happenings around us.
Are we ready to stand before the judgement seat if the trumpet for homecoming sounds now ? If you are affirmative, congratulations. If not, hesitate no more to repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. There is no other way to God’s everlasting Kingdom apart from Jesus Christ: He is the Way, the Truth, the Light, and the Door. Halleluyah.
May we never lose our place in the everlasting Kingdom of God, in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

       LET GOD BE GOD.

HEBREWS 10 : 27
Instead, all that is left is to wait in fear for the coming Judgement and fierce fire which will destroy those who oppose God.
I PETER 1 : 24
As the scripture says : ” All human beings are like grass, and all their glory is like wild flowers. The grass withers, and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord remains forever. This word is the Good News that was proclaimed to you.
(GOOD NEWS BIBLE)

Religion is a choice. You are at liberty to make the choice or, even, be irreligious..
Nobody has the power to fight for God: If He is God and not god, be rest assured that the Living God can defend Himself.
Nobody has the authority to impose religious belief on another person. God’s right hand is able to deal decisively with any opposition: God is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient. God is neither shackled not manacled and He is never overwhelmed.
Make your religion attractive enough to win converts. Winning adherents to your belief must never be through coercion but by selflessness, hospitality and tolerance.
” The scripture says, ” Because of you Jews, the Gentiles speak evil of God.” Romans 2 : 24
Stop shedding blood in the name of religion. Stop the torture of innocent souls deemed to be unbelievers. The human life is most precious in the eyes of the Creator. Stop the slavery and pogrom perpetuated under the pretext of religious zeal. Stop this cruelty meted to fellowbeings in the absurd name of fundamentalism.
” This people will listen and listen, but not understand; they will look and look, but not see, because their minds are dull, and they have stopped up their ears and have closed their eyes. Otherwise, their eyes would see, their ears would hear, their minds would understand, and they would turn to me, says God, and I would heal them.”. Matthew 13:14-15.
We are all sojourners on earth. We are all assured of Judgement for our earthly deeds. The reward does not include harem of virgins to copulate with, but crowns of glory and everlasting life in Paradise. The unrighteous; the wicked; the sadist will surely be eternally doomed.
“Jesus answered them, ” How right Isaiah was when he prophesied about you ! You are hypocrites, just as he wrote: ” These people, says God, honour me with their words, but their heart is really far away from me. It is no use for them to worship me, because they teach human rules as though they were God’s laws ! You put aside God’s command and obey human teachings.” Mark 7 : 6 – 8..
Stop this bloodletting now. You are not ‘helping’ God. You are hurting yourself when you destroy your fellow man. God expects you to be your brother’s keeper, not his destroyer. God is not pleased with you. Listen and obey God’s word, today. You need Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, our Lord and Saviour in your life that the Holy Spirit may fashion you into a vessel of honour; a being worthy of Divine commendation.
“Let us, then, hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we have a great High Priest who has gone into the very presence of God — Jesus, the Son of God.” Hebrews 4:14.
Strengthen my faith, O God, and deliver me from temptations, in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

SELF – EXAMINATION
HABAKKUK 2 :1 – 4

1. I will climb my watchtower and wait to see what the LORD will tell me to say and what he will give to my complaint.
2. The LORD gave me this answer: “Write down clearly on clay tablets what I reveal to you, so that it can be read at a glance.
3. Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed.
4. And this is the message: ” Those who are evil will not survive, but those who are righteous will live because they are faithful to God.” “
   ( GOOD NEWS BIBLE). TIME IS RUNNING OUT. GOD IS NOT MOCKED. GAINING THE WORLD AT THE EXPENSE OF LOSING THE SOUL IS TRAGIC. THE CALL FOR HOMECOMING CAN BE ANYTIME, ANYWHERE AND ANYHOW. IT IS NOT DETERMINED BY AGE, STATUS OR RELIGION.
   GOD WILL SURELY JUDGE OUR DEEDS. WE NEED TO BELONG TO THE FAMILY OF JESUS CHRIST AND BE FILLED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT IN ORDER TO BE GODLY. THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION. ANY OTHER WAY ENDS IN EVERLASTING DAMNATION.
   “THOSE WHO ARE EVIL WILL NOT SURVIVE, BUT THOSE WHO ARE RIGHTEOUS WILL LIVE BECAUSE THEY ARE FAITHFUL TO GOD.”
   MAY WE NEVER FALL FROM GRACE, IN THE PRECIOUS NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.
