MESSAGE FROM THE ALTARDEVOTIONAL SERVICE. 13/06/2021.BE COMFORTED.

2 CORINTHIANS 1:3-53. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4. who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.5. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.(NIV) It is obvious that we are not in the best of times. The Covid-19 Pandemic nearly brought the whole world to a standstill. Many souls perished. The world economy experienced a dangerous downturn. In my part of the world, Nigeria, the picture is pathetic as insecurity besieges the country. Many have become so traumatized that they have become comfortless. The world is groaning. Evil perpetrators dominate the scene. The sigh of hopelessness pervade the atmosphere. Yet, such worldly predicament should not be the portion of the children of God for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ prepared us for times like this. Jesus Christ told us as a matter of fact that in this world we would experience tribulations, though He was quick to assure us of victory over dire situations. All we needed to do to be comforted and remain comforted is to surrender ourselves, in totality, to His dominion as we prepare to live courageously here and hereafter have everlasting rest in His Kingdom. In the name of Jesus Christ, every situation must receive Divine solution. It is an assurance. It is our heritage in the Lord. Our God is awesomely faithful and He will never leave us forsaken as we cleave to Him. If that be the case, and I am confident in it being the case, then we are not alone in our woes for God is with us. Therefore, we are not comfortless for our God comforts us. If, through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, God comforts us, then should we not hasten to introduce this same Jesus Christ to others that they may be recipients of Divine grace ? Let the comforted seek out the comfortless and bring succour into their lives. It is time to be your neighbour’s keeper for with faith in the supremacy of our Lord Jesus Christ over every situation, we are assured of victory over the viciousness enveloping us. Therefore, beloved, as you press forward towards fulfilment, entertain neither fear nor distractions inimical to your joy for you are not comfortless. God is already opening doors for your breakthrough; for your celebrations. It is happening now. Hold your peace for you will surely testify to the faithfulness of our awesome God, in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Congratulations. Shalom.

MESSAGE FROM THE ALTARDEVOTIONAL SERVICE. 06/06/2021 HOLD ON

JUDE 17-23.17. But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.18. They said to you, ” In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires. “19. These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.20. But, you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.21. Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.22. Be merciful to those who doubt;23. snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear — hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.(NIV)HOLD ON TO YOUR FAITH. HOLD ON TO YOUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. HOLD ON TO YOUR FAITH IN THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. HOLD ON TO YOUR FAITH IN THE INTERVENTION OF MINISTERING ANGELIC BEINGS. HOLD ON TO YOUR FAITH IN THE AWESOME FAITHFULNESS OF THE OMNIPRESENT, OMNIPOTENT AND OMNISCIENT GOD, FOR I AM LED BY HIS SPIRIT TO DECLARE THE MONTH OF JUNE AS YOUR MONTH OF CELEBRATIONS GALORE AS YOUR EARNEST HEARTS’ DESIRES MANIFEST, IN THE PRECIOUS NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. MESSAGE FROM THE ALTAR DEVOTIONAL. SERVICE 30/05/2021ON DEATH ROW

ROMANS 3:21-2421. But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.22. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There’s no difference,23. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,24. and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. (NIV).HEBREWS 9: 27-2827. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that judgement,28. so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.(NIV). The Death row or Condemned row is where prisoners who have been convicted of capital crimes and are awaiting execution are housed in prison. Unless, through appeals, the judgment is overturned, the prisoner on the Death row must eventually be killed as punishment for the crime committed or deemed to have been committed. The world is under siege. Terrorists are on killing sprees. Natural and man made activities are sending people to early graves. In some situations, pogroms and wanton destruction of means of livelihood are unabatedly and unabashedly executed. Perpetrators of the grievous crimes are never apprehended or brought to justice even when apprehended. We live in a state of perpetual fear, of despondency. There is no hiding place as the merchants of misery and death advertise the effectiveness of their wares. We live in abattoirs awaiting the slaughterers. We wail and lament woefully whenever the executioners snuffed out the lives of their victims. We shudder pitifully as we ponder on who’s turn it is to die. There is chaos in the land; there’s devastation of the land; and the people intoxicated by agony stare into nothingness, in resignation as they await the hangman’s noose. There’s no appeasement as hordes of murderous villains boisterously trample on the dignity of the innocent . There’s lamentation everywhere as people die, most unprepared for God’s day of reckoning: it’s appointed unto man to die once, then judgement. Only those who are counted as disciples of Jesus Christ; those that accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour; those that do the will of God through the righteousness of Jesus Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit; and those that profess Jesus Christ as the Son of God Almighty have hopes of eternal life for their names are in the Book of Life. There’s no other way of escaping eternal damnation except clinging faithfully to the promises of Jesus Christ. There’s no other prophet that can lead humanity to eternal rest. There’s neither any other religion nor creed that can win God’s favour on the day of judgment. Only Jesus Christ is the Divinely accepted Door to enter the Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ is the glorious Light that illumine the way to God’s eternal city of peace. Every other religion or creed and adherents have already missed the Way and unless there’s repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour must suffer the indignity of the tortuous regime of satan in the kingdom of everlasting darkness and regret. The pertinent questions that we must answer now as people on Death row are : If death comes today, who takes possession of your soul — angels or demons ?If the Book of Life is opened today, will your name be found therein ? Like prisoners on Death row, are you ready for the executioner ? Will the “Celebration of Life” announcing your transition translate to “Welcome home, faithful servant” in the hereafter ? That you’re reading this piece shows that you still have the opportunity to make the right choice. The right choice is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour; and faithfully cling to His promises of hope and of deliverance from eternal damnation. May our names be found in the Book of Life, in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.

MESSAGE FROM THE ALTARDEVOTIONAL SERVICE. 23/05/2021ONLY ONE OPTION.

ROMANS 8:31,35,38-39.31. What can we say about all of this ? If God is for us, who can be against us ?35. What will separate us from the love Christ has for us? Can trouble, distress, persecution, hunger, nakedness, danger, or violent death separate us from his love ?38. I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love which Christ Jesus our Lord shows us. We can’t be separated by death or life, by angels or rulers, by anything in the present or anything in the future, by forces39. or powers in the world above or in the world below, or by anything else in creation.( GOD’S WORD EDITION) Beloved, the Word of God has made it clear that there is judgement after our sojourn on earth. All our deeds here will be assessed and the wholesome separated from the chaff, the worthy from the unworthy, and judgment passed by the righteous Judge. The unworthy will end up with Satan in his tortuous kingdom. The worthy will be in God’s kingdom of peace and praise. Accept Jesus Christ as Lord, Saviour and have everlasting life in God’s presence.Reject Jesus Christ as Lord, Saviour and have everlasting regret in Satan’s hellfire. There is no purgatory. Be not deceived. There is only one option that leads to God and its through His son, Jesus Christ.

“…..Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” 2Chronicles 20:20. The pervading atmosphere is sodden with misery : You are physically exhausted. You are socially ostracized. You are hurting. Your endeavours have met with stiff opposition. Your friends have deserted you. You are alone, submerged in pangs of abandonment. Your foes exhibit their disdain for you remorselessly. Your vision is blurred and your glimmer of hope has faltered. You are stigmatized. You hate looking into the mirror as life becomes gloom and despondency. You are in dilemma, in shackles and at your wits’ end. Suicidal thoughts becloud your spirit and your faith in God diminishes as you become the object of ridicule, a point of reference to cynics. But, I am led by the Spirit of the Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent God to declare to you that it is not over for you; that the battle is not your own; that you won’t fight this battle; that you must neither be frightened nor terrified; that you must no more be sorrowful but thankful; that the awesome faithfulness of God will fight for you: and that you will indeed sing a new song, a song of unfathomable victory. Therefore, wipe away the tears; rejoice in faith and prepare for your great testimonies and celebrations. It is established, in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Shalom.

MESSAGE FROM THE ALTARDEVOTIONAL SERVICE. 16/05/2021.GOD, OUR REFUGE AND FORTRESS.

PSALM 91:1-2.1. Whoever lives under the shelter of the Most High will remain in the shadow of the Almighty.2. I will say to the Lord, “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.”ISAIAH 45:22Turn to me and be saved, all who live at the ends of the earth, because I am God, and there is no other.HEBREWS 13:6So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can mortals do to me?”NUMBERS 23:19God is not like people. He tells no lies. He is not like humans. He doesn’t change his mind. When he says something, he does it. When he makes a promise, he keeps it. In the Holy Bible God gave His people promises that are still valid today. God will always stand by His words. Whatever God promises us, He will honour. “My word, which comes from my mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to me without results. It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do.” ( Isaiah 55:11). Jesus Christ said, “The earth and the heavens will disappear, but my words will never disappear.” ( Mark 13:31). God has promised to keep us safe from worldly perils. God has promised to guide and guard us through our pilgrimage on earth in order to bring us safely back to Him. God has promised to help and strengthen us as we pass through life’s travail. God has promised that He will never allow us to be tempted or tested above what we able to bear. God has promised that He will never leave nor forsake us. God has promised to carry us through, from the womb to the point of transition. It is God that carries and delivers us out of every situation we may face. We have not made it so far by our strength. God has promised that no evil shall harm us. The love of God for us opens the doors for new mercies each and every day. Jesus Christ will never allow us to walk on a road He had never walked on. Through His humanity, Jesus Christ was tempted like humans and so He understands our trials and He is able to help us in our tests and trials. The promises of God remain steadfast for people who make the Almighty God their God. To reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of mankind is to reject the supremacy of God, for all powers in heaven and on earth have been handed over to Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus Christ is the Sole mediator between God and man. In Jesus Christ are the promises of God fulfilled. Obedience is the key to receiving God’s promises. There is no other way to accessing and living the full promises of God without accepting and having faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ who paid the price for such an honour through His death on the cross at Calvary, His resurrection and ascension to be the mediator on His everlasting throne of glory. It is unfortunate that many are still in satanic darkness, ignorant of the name of Jesus Christ as the only access to God. It is the duty of the redeemed to reach out to these ones in bondage and set them free. The world is rapidly folding up. The gates of hell are opened wide to consume the unwary. The Great Commission to evangelize all nations must be pursued with vigour now. Our time is running out. God is our refuge and fortress. Fortress is a safe place where people in trouble can run for refuge. Every fortress has a strong lock and only the possessor of the key can enter therein. If we choose God, He will be our fortress, our strong tower and harm will not come to us. But, we can not be with God, our fortress without the Key. The Key to safety in God is Jesus Christ. Shalom.

MESSAGE FROM THE ALTAR DEVOTIONAL SERVICE.

09/05/2021.GOD’S YARDSTICK.MICAH 6:8 The LORD God has told us what is right and what he demands:”See that justice is done, let mercy be your first concern, and humbly obey your God.” (CEV)MATTHEW 22:37-4037. Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38. This is the first and greatest commandment.39. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’40. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. ” (NIV) The World is racing towards it’s demise. Everything we are experiencing – the natural and man-made disasters and turbulence; the chaos and trepidations; the stress and hopelessness; the orgy of violence and avarice are all pointers to a world about to end. More than ever before, we need to study and meditate deeply on the Word of God in order to survive the looming catastrophe. The Word of God shows the mind of God. To be safe we must please God. To please God we must know what God wants. What does God require from us ? ” Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind “.There is no way we can do so on our own strength, for none can totally keep the law. Only through the strength and righteousness of Jesus Christ is salvation attainable and that’s why the first step to pleasing God is to surrender our lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. God commands us to ” Love your neighbour as yourself “. There is no way we can accomplish this injunction unless we act justly; love mercy; and walk humbly with God. The man who would be just or merciful must have the power of putting himself in the place of another; he must have a real interest in other people’s circumstances. He must have courage, patience and sympathy in order to be just and merciful. The precondition to Justice and Mercy is the ability ” to walk humbly with God “. There is more to life than making money. God calls us to make a difference. To make a difference requires that we do justice and to do justice is to serve the common good. God enjoins us to love kindness. Let us aspire to do nice things for others spontaneously, especially those we don’t know, and where possible doing it anonymously with no thought of recognition or reward. God wants us to walk with Him. He loves our fellowship. He loves interaction with us. He listens; He hears our cries of joy and pain; He understands our every situation. He wants to relate with us as friend to friend. But, to walk humbly with God is also to remember our place and to know that we stand with God, not as equals but as Creator and creations. Are you afraid to be just in a world filled with injustice ?Are you afraid to be merciful in a world becoming very heartless ?Are you afraid to defend the persecuted because of personal safety ?Are you perpetuating heinous crimes in the name of politics ? We are pilgrims on earth. We must all die at one time or the other. The world itself will come to an end. But, that is not the end of everything. The Holy Bible, the Word of God, makes it clear that judgment awaits humanity afterwards .All must appear before God to be recompensed for performance while on earth. It’s either everlasting life of bliss or everlasting agony in hell. The natural man can never please God. We need the supernatural power of Jesus Christ and His righteousness to belong to God’s family. Jesus Christ is the Way to the heart and throne of God. Without the Lordship of Jesus Christ, we can not reign with God. Therefore, if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, now is the time to do so. Next time may never be. If you are backsliding, it’s important to wake up from your slumber and glow for Jesus Christ again. Remember, the unsaved awaits you to bring them the Gospel. Therefore, do the work of the evangelist. Micah asks,”what does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Jesus Christ taught, “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” That, in a nutshell, is the essence of a life of faith.

MESSAGE FROM THE ALTARDEVOTIONAL SERVICE 02/05/2021OUR FAITH AS OVERCOMERS.

1 JOHN 5:1-51. Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2. This is how we know that we love the children of God : by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4. for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.5. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. (NIV). 1 JOHN 4:15 – 16 15. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he is in God. 16. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. (NIV). This month of May opens another door of opportunity to escape the wrath of God. The fact that you are reading this message is enough proof that you are alive . Being given the opportunity to witness this day is a proof of God’s magnanimity. It is a chance to rededicate your life to wholesome living. It is an opportunity to surrender your life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, if you have not done so. It is a door for more vigorous evangelism for the second coming of Jesus Christ draws very near. The dark cloud overshadowing the world; the fear pervading the atmosphere; the diverse afflictions, the trauma, the hopelessness, the chaos will become more pronounced.

MESSAGE FROM THE ALTAR DEVOTIONAL SERVICE 25/04/2021

LAMENTATIONS

JEREMIAH 31:15-17

  1. In Ramah a voice is heard, crying and weeping loudly. Rachel mourns for her children and refuses to be comforted, because they are dead.
  2. But, I, the Lord, say to dry your tears. Someday your children will come home from the enemy’s land. Then all you have done for
    them will be greatly rewarded.
  3. So, don’t lose hope. I, the Lord , have spoken.

MATTHEW 2:16-18

  1. When Herod found out that the wise men from the east had tricked him, he was very angry. He gave orders for his men to kill all the boys who lived in or near Bethlehem and were two years old and younger. This was based on what he had learned from the wise men.
  2. So, the Lord’s promise came true, just as the prophet Jeremiah had said,
  3. “In Ramah a voice was heard crying and weeping loudly. Rachel was mourning for her children, and she refused to be comforted, because they were dead.”
(CEV). The Land, this Country, is in a state of mourning. Terror and acts of terrorism have taken away laughter from the people. Murder, hostages taking, arson, raping, kidnapping , slavery , religious intolerance, ethnic cleansing, robbery, hatred, fear, insecurities, bring sorrow upon our land.
Our eyes shed tears; our eyelids run down with water. We’re being slaughtered like animals by demonized and depraved minds bereft of humanity.
Those saddled with the responsibility of providing security are overwhelmed as hordes of terrorists maim, kill and destroy wantonly. Wives are forcibly taken from husbands and sexually molested; children are taken from parents , held in captivity and sold into slavery; fathers are taken from their homes, humiliated and killed; travellers are kidnapped and sold to bidders; innocent school children go through excruciating experiences and death; as farmlands turn to abattoirs.
Our eyes have shed tears. Our eyelids run down with water.
We are wondering who the fundraisers of terrorism are. We wonder who supplies the needs of the network of terrorism. We are wondering if those saddled with maintaining peace are complicit in perpetuating terror.
We’re downcast as grieving mothers wail over their massacred children.
” Rachel is weeping for her children; and she refused to be comforted, because they were no more ” Jeremiah 31:15.

“They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.
They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me.
I have told you this, so that when the time comes you will remember that I warned you. I did not tell you this at first because I was with you.” John 16:2-4.

You have seen the picture and you have known the truth. Jesus Christ has given us the roadmap of what the experiences must be from here to the hereafter. Nobody has ever done so.

We must be prepared to meet our Creator anytime. Evil and chaos will become the norm as we get closer to Jesus Christ’s second coming, yet what we’re experiencing now, that has brought about lamentations, is just the tip of the iceberg. We have little time left. We need to give our lives, in totality, to the service of our Saviour Jesus Christ. We need to go on vigorous evangelism to rescue the lost souls.
Only Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit can comfort us. Only through the name of Jesus Christ can we raise standards against these hordes from the gates of hell. Only in the name of Jesus Christ can we have peace in the midst of calamities. Our victories are realistic in the name of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, let’s gird our loins; let week knees be strengthened and let feeble hands receive power as tongues of fire decree destruction into the enemies’ camps.
Weep no more for there’s safety and hope in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. If you have not surrendered your life and accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour, you’re in great danger here and ,of course, in the hereafter your name will not be found in the Book of Life. Accept Jesus Christ today and live.
Shalom.

April 21, 2021

The enemies celebrated the crucifixion of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, but to their dismay He resurrected and ascended gloriously, so shall your detractors marvel , to their chagrin , at your uplifting when this storm is over, for your challenges shall be turned into great testimonies as the stumbling blocks become stepping stones to higher glory, in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Therefore, wipe off the tears of sorrow and rejoice in the Lord that has turned your mourning into celebrations. Shalom.
